LANDSCAPE²

This is where all of my landscape photography lives. Here you will find a collection of my favorite landscapes from all over the world. I want nothing more than to be in the wilderness, and I have this deep need inside to capture its beauty while there. This feeds my soul. Atmospheric perspective is my worst enemy in this aspect. All of these images are available as a fine art color photograph that is numbered and signed. Set of 188.

Los Vaqueros Oak

This was taken on our first trip to the Los Vaqueros reservoir. We hiked up a steep cattle path and found this fallen oak at the top. There are two versions of this image, one where the foreground is in focus and one where the background is in focus (the one that made the official cut).

San Leandro Sails

I’m always on the lookout for a good reflection when I’m out in the wild. I was not disappointed this morning. We got up early for a race my husband and daughter were running, and I was handily rewarded with perfectly still waters and clear blue sky. Having an iPhone makes it even better. There was a time not too long ago when I had to carry my Canon with me everywhere. That got hard once I had a kid; her head and my camera occupied the same plane on my body, so I had to make some adjustments. Namely, I had to shift what the essentials of travel were, and my canon doesn’t cut as often these days. (Don’t worry, it’s still my preferred device, and this is the year I get a proper zoom lens. 🤞)

Rainbow Trees

I took this image at the Oakland Zoo while we were there for Zoofari in January of 2024. This was taken on my iPhone 14. This year was amazing. This was on the outskirts of an interactive area. I’m willing to bet not many people even paid attention to the “mood” lighting, but this is the kind of shit I live for. There was a chain link fence in front of me, and these trees were across an animal habitat. (Not sure which animal.)

San Leandro Reflection

My husband is a runner. I decided at the age of 7 that running wasn’t my thing. (Soccer 😒) I birthed a runner. So long story short, we were there for a race. As a nature photographer, his running complements my hobby. He runs for hours outside while I take photos and wait for him at the end. 😃

Mid-Morning

I took this photograph at New Brighton State Beach in Santa Cruz, CA. We got there around 10 am, and it was still really overcast. Down the beach a little farther down from this point are tidepools and the real reason for the trip. Also, there are what feel like millions of fossils in the rocky cliffs to the left of the image and scattered all along the beach.

My Valley

This is a photograph, looking out over a section of the Livermore Valley from the popular Olivia Gate, at Wetmore and Arroyo. I like the different textures of green present, and the way that the field lines run perpendicular to each other is what I wanted to capture.

Los Vaqueros

For years, I have driven past this exit on the side of a busy business route. There are no other turnouts for miles in either direction, and I had always wondered what the park at the end of that road looked like. This is the view of the reservoir that we found. Los Vaqueros Reservoir & Watershed is maintained by the Contra Costa Water District.

Sunset in Radiator Springs

This is just some quality Disneyland aesthetic. I worked at the park for a while, and to this day, it is still one of my all-time favorite places. This was taken while waiting in line during golden hour for the Cars ride in the California Adventure theme park. I like the idea of hanging art in your home, which is Disney, too.
Photograph of tall, slender catus in front of a colorful rock cliff, during golden hour. The sun is setting and illuminating the cactus with warm light.
