Description

Introducing the Alameda Naval Base, a photo print featuring the rusty, industrial charm of this abandoned air naval base in the Bay Area. The image captures the wild beauty of urban wildlife and nature’s resilience, with succulent plants and windblown wild grass thriving in the forgotten, sandy landscape. A unique piece of California’s history, perfect for adding a touch of rugged charm to any space.
I took this photo at the Alameda Point Antiques Fair, held on the first Sunday of every month. You can find some pretty cool things there, as well as stunning views of the San Francisco skyline. I found this little succulent out in the empty, windblown section of the giant black top. It’s wild to me how this colorful little plant found itself there.
