Welcome

So, I’ll be completely honest, I didn’t know people could sign up to get emails when I make a post. 👀 A few people have signed up, so I feel obligated to not disappoint the masses.

On that note, the point of this blog will be to showcase newly added images and seasonally relevant images.

This past week I uploaded 5 new prints to my site.

All of these new images are available in 5×7” and 8×10”.

Of these 5 images 2 of them have origin stories that stand out in my mind.

Muir Canopy was taken with my first digital camera, a Kodak. It took 4 AAA batteries and went through them – all 4 in one day. I would carry extra batteries with me everywhere. (It was as lame as it sounds.) It was New Years Day 2008, and we went to Muir Woods for a hike. At this time of year, the woods were intense – I was unaware it was ladybug season, there were hundreds of thousands of them all over the wooden path fences. It was INSANE, and the photos I took of them all sucked ass. (It really was a first world tragedy.)

The second image that I have a fond memory of shooting is Carmel Artichoke. My husband used to get all expenses paid trips to swanky places (go into sales boys and girls) and we have been fortunate enough to spend the week and the Carmel Valley Ranch. They have a lot of hiking trails on the property and one of them leads you to the chef’s private garden. It is perfectly placed in the green rolling hills. It was exciting to stumble upon this little gem. I LOVE to photograph produce, so this was particularly exciting for me.
