What do you love about where you live?
I LOVE living in Livermore, California. we are the last city in Alameda County to the east in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Cutting edge science and research is happening at the Livermore National Lab and the Sandia National Laboratory. There is talk of a commercial electrical fusion plant will be built in Livermore to prove the concept once and for all.
Livermore grows some of the best grapes for wine and are starting to make our place know in Olive Oil. We have a vibrant agriculture sector and a program at one of our 2 high schools. We have amazing food – shout out to Range Life, Locanda Wine Bar and Cinco Taco Bar.
Our wildlife is plentiful. We have a female turkey that lives in our neighborhood who I have named Mammas. Livermore has it all, ice skating, mini golf, large indoor kids play place – Lost Worlds, we have camping at Del Valle and an 18 hole golf course. We have a bowling alley and 2 movie theaters, one chain and one independent. Our migrant community is bustling. There are two separate farmer’s markets a week.
The performing arts are represented with a nice sized theater for the in the center of downtown. We have an independent bookstore, toy store, weed dispensary, multiple wineries and sex shop. We amazing breweries and you can buy fresh produce and eggs from your neighbors. Livermore is centrally located just 45 minutes from San Francisco and San Jose – public transportation runs to both. We are within 2 hours of the beach and the snow.
The weather is amazing, no snow and not many 100° days. We have a small airport and 3 solid pumpkin patches. SmartAsset ranked it the second-safest suburb in California and 37th safest in the United States. We have an amazing library system – you can check out not only books, but 3-D printers and sewing machines and telescopes. If you want it I am sure you can find it in Livermore.
PS: I totally forgot to mention that we are also home to The World’s Fastest Rodeo!!!! We really do have it all.
