The goal I set myself was 3 new images a week. That number may prove to be unattainable after I have been at this for a while and have run through all of the good stuff I have from the decades before I started offering my wares to the public.
I have written myself a process. It seemed a bit excessive at first, but when I got into this whole process it became evident, I needed something to keep me organized.
As part of “the process” I proof every image before I post it for sale and most images need to be proofed 2 or 3 times before I get an image I like, due mainly to cropping.
There is also a 10 day turn around on my proofs, and if they happen to get lost then it is 20 days. My husband thinks I should just post them and then take them down if they don’t proof well. I might start to do that, but at the moment, I don’t feel that I have had enough images proofed to where I feel confident in the print quality and being able to anticipate what I’m actually going to end up with.
This set of images is not the set I wanted to post this week, but for the first time my entire order was lost.
Looff Portrait
| Immerse yourself in the nostalgia of the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk with the Looff Portrait. This hand-crafted portrait showcases one of the beloved carousel horses from the iconic Looff Carousel. Bring a piece of seaside charm into your home with this beautifully detailed piece capturing the essence of a bygone era. This carousel is something that I can remember riding as a child while my parents were still married. I stole a ring from the ring toss in middle school, and was WAY too cool to spend the money to ride it in high school. My daughter has now had the joy of riding this same carousel. This holds a special place in my heart. |
Purple Owl’s Clover
I currently live in the inland foothills of Alameda County in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have had amazing levels of rain these last few years, which in turn, translated into insane wildflowers. We took a 10 minute drive to a city park that is right up against the foothills and hiked into the hills. I saw flowers I have never seen before. This is one of them. I thought it was a paintbrush flower, but my iPhone assures me it is purple Owl’s Clover. |
San Leandro Reflection
Experience the serene beauty of the San Leandro waterfront with our captivating print, “San Leandro Reflection.” Taken in the early morning, this stunning piece captures the tranquil atmosphere of the San Francisco Bay Area. Bring a touch of peaceful elegance to your home with this breathtaking image. My husband is a runner. I decided at the age of 7 that running wasn’t my thing. (Soccer 😒) I birthed a runner. So long story short we were there for a race. As a nature photographer his running actually complete my hobby. He runs for hours outside while I take photos and wait for him at the end. 😃 |
