Do you ever see wild animals?

We live in the burbs and have a plethora of wildlife. There is a lone female turkey who roosts in the tree in my front yard. We have a highway of squirrels along our backyard fence line. We have too many bird varieties to mention them all, but the vultures are my favorite. Yesterday, as we were pulling into the driveway, my daughter noticed a hawk in the tree in our front yard. We have opossums and raccoons as well. We have red foxes nearby, but I haven’t seen them from my yard. I have seen them while I was at work, in the same city. We have some cool bugs too…

I just read that Livermore purchased 330 new acers for wildlife preservation. I have no doubt that we get to experience such an abundance of wildlife because we care and make efforts to live with nature, in harmony. A lot of people complain about the cost of living in California and the Bay Are in particular. Having nice things isn’t cheap and we see the value in the long game. Beavers, river otters and the California Condor have all made huge comebacks since COVID. I think it is really exciting to see Mother Nature do her thing.
