I entered my first real art exhibit.
I submitted 6 entries to this exhibit, I have a few photos of abandoned places that I really like but aren’t suited as home decor. It was exciting to find an exhibit exploring that idea.
The image, Dismantled Sky Star was selected. I debated entering this into the contest because it isn’t abandoned. It is in the process of being taken down and moved to Pier 39. My best friend suggested I enter it when I told her about the exhibition, and then my husband thought I was overthinking the abandoned thing. The feeling for sure is one of abandonment.
I hope to have more of my art exhibited and in that vein, I started an exhibitions page on my site. I look forward to the challenge presented by different venues looking to bring art to the wider world.
